With its fully functional, basic hydration system the entire pack is well thought out. Side pockets accommodate water bottles if that’s your style, and the back panel is useful for a light layer, hat or whatever you want to get to quickly. The zippered pockets on the top and inside of the lid have ample room for a small first aid kit, tape, phone, sunglasses, sunscreen and snacky bits. The ripstop nylon, back panel and reinforced bottom do the job for sport climbing missions and full day summer hikes. The color options are awesome, and it’s reasonably durable for its weight class. ![]() For short cragging approaches this little number is the bomb. The hip belt on the Verve 26 is minimal, so don’t count on it for sharing much of the load. ![]() For larger loads the Verve 32, 38, 42 or even the 52 are better choices. For it’s weight (1.7lbs.) it carries a load well (20lbs.is no problem). It’s practical, but best of all it’s uber-light. This little number is loaded with features that are not bells and whistles. If it’s a trad rack my partner and I split the kit. It’s ideal for a full sport climbing kit, 60m rope included. This has been my go to cragging pack since I took it out of the box.
